We ordered one from Amazon that same day, and it came 2 days later. Fits perfectly. (Store said my fiance was a 48T, but I measured him to be a 46R and the one I ordered came and fit exactly as I measured. So they weren't even accurate in that).

We honestly tried to "keep it local" as we are doing with our entire wedding, but how can you stay in business when you can't even follow up? On top of it, I had no confidence that even if we ordered a rental, they would even show up.

My son needed a tux for the prom. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Made getting his first tux very easy.

We got a certificate at a bridal show that made my wedding dress free from there (it's only $75). However, they don't have a tailor... well they do, but she wants the business to be between you and her, so if she messes up, the store isn't even slightly responsible for the dress you just bought. The receipts are all hand written, so if you misplace it, they conveniently don't have another one on file. Not to mention, if you'd like a dress bag for that dress you just bought from them, it'll cost you extra. There is a very small selection of veils, and a few of them are ripped (2 out of 5 looking nice isn't that bad, right?). They recommended ballet flats to go with my dress, because they didn't have many real wedding shoes, especially not for anyone over a size 8, and especially not for anyone with wide feet. My husband got his tuxedo from McNeil and Reedy (he purchased it for about $200, including shoes and color). They spent the whole time we were there putting them down and saying how much better their store is (no, it's really not better, they just want you to buy from them instead, so they figure if they bad-mouth the competition, they'll be golden). The store is incredibly crowded.. law suit waiting to happen. My 7-year-old sister-in-law could barely squeeze by, and she's 50 lbs. The dresses are all upstairs, pushed in the back. You have to really be looking in order to find them. The store is in the same building as Body Gears and they're both run by the same people. The dress was beautiful and inexpensive, and the tailoring did come out nicely, but the tailor kept putting everyone else before us even though she had my dress first. If you want to pick up your dress here, go for it to get the cheap price. Just make sure you can find someone else to tailor it if it needs adjustments (we couldn't find anyone in Rutland willing to touch a wedding dress, no matter how little it costed).

I've turned 3 people away from PJ since this whole thing started (In late April) and I will continue to do so. Don't mess with people's proms and weddings!

Nothing like McNeil and Reedy!

When we didn't hear from them for another week, we called and were told that the owner would call us to follow up. Didn't hear anything.

is amazed how some business owners treat people. Just left Penguin Jacks in Rutland after coming back for a scheduled appointment..Needless to say, after talking with them today, I will NEVER send a client their way.. Go to McNeil and Reedy.

Save yourself some time and hassle and spring the little extra for a different store.

We are getting married this year, and were looking for something unique for our men (leather blazers) as it's a cocktail / harley themed wedding. McNeil and Reedy's did not have them since it was out of season, so we contacted PJ. We explained what we were looking for, and the woman (the owner) stated she didn't have anything but could order one. She would order it in mossy oak, so she could resell it, and we could come in and take a look at it and would call us. This was a wednesday and it would be in Saturday. When we didn't get a call, we called Tuesday. The associate (not the owner) said she didn't know anything about it, but she would have the owner call us. When we didn't hear anything by Saturday, my fiance stopped in to ask. Come to find out she never even ordered it. Ok, that's fine, she promised to do so immediately and it would be in Wednesday. Wed came and went and you guessed it, no call. We waited a few days, and called Friday. No, it wasn't in, and they couldn't even tell us it was ordered. They were quick to tell us that we could of course rent it from them, instead of buying, but I want to see the quality. It wasn't about the money, it was about finding what we wanted.
